OIL CLEANING BIO-PRODUCTS LTD.
PRESS RELEASE
ENGINEERED
INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTS Ltd. TO DISTRIBUTE OCBP's "HEG" POLLUTION CONTROL
AND BIOREMEDIATION PRODUCTS
January 1999
Engineered Industrial Products, the Buckinghamshire-based supplier
of high-strength epoxy resin machine support materials, has entered
into a distribution agreement with Oil Cleaning Bio-Products Ltd.
for the marketing of OCBP's "Heg" range of pollution control equipment
which includes biodegradable absorbents, solvent substitutes, oil
spill response kits, sealants and bioremediation products.
Commenting on the move, Mark Huggins, Managing Director of EIP said:
"With EIP successfully completing its second year and with Chockfast
sales on target, we were actively seeking additional product lines
when we saw the "Heg" products demonstrated at the Maintec '98 Exhibition.
We were immediately impressed by what we saw, and realised that they
would complement the Chockfast range. We applied to OCBP Ltd. for
a distributorship and were accepted. We have now recruited Julie Louise
O'Sullivan to spearhead our marketing effort in this field. She will
be targetting a number of sectors, including transport and automotive,
oil, chemicals, precision engineering, general manufacturing, plant
maintenance and facilities management".
Asked about EIP's new role, Richard Genochio, Managing Director
of Oil Cleaning Bio-Products Ltd., said: "We were delighted by EIP's
decision to join us in the marketing of the "Heg" products. The scope
for them is immense, since they have applications in all industrial
sectors. More and more companies - and above all their larger customers
- are insisting upon the use of "greener" products and processes.
The "Heg" products make a major contribution to improved health and
safety at work and reduced environmental impacts, and we are sure
that EIP will have a big part to play in helping companies solve the
long-standing and common problems of oil pollution."
NOTES FOR EDITORS
- Engineered Industrial Products Ltd. was established in March
1997 by Mark Huggins and Adrian Johnstone. EIP supplies and installs
high strength epoxy resin machinery support materials. Known as
the Chockfast System, these materials reduce vibration and eliminate
steel shims and packing. The materials are totally resistant to
water, oil and many chemicals. They maintain machinery alignment
to a very high degree of accuracy and substantially reduce down-time
due to equipment failure or alignment errors.
- Mark Huggins has a background in mechanical and marine engineering.
Prior to forming EIP he had twenty years' experience working with
ITW Philadelphia Resins, the manufacturer of the Chockfast range
of epoxy resins which EIP Ltd. now represents. During that period
he was involved with very prestigious application contracts, including
the critical gate arm connections of the Thames Flood Barrier.
Adrian Johnstone, as Managing Director of Transaction International
(a logistics and distribution company) brings to the business
fifteen years of experience in meeting tight deadlines and ensuring
customer satisfaction in a highly competitive environment.
Julie Louise O'Sullivan's professional experience lies in sales
and promotion of electrical equipment. She is also an accomplished
horse rider, having competed in The Horse of the Year Show and
The Royal International Horse Show.

bacteria, used for bioremediation of contaminated land and of oily
sludges and wastes); Hegseal (pliable clay with polymer for the
emergency sealing of leaking or punctured drums, tanks and pipework);
