INTEREST IN OCBP's "HEG" RANGE OF CLEANSERS AND ABSORBENTS GROWS WITH LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCTS

Oil Cleaning Bio-Products Ltd., having already enjoyed considerable success with its first series of biodegradable oil-cleansing, absorbent and bioremediation products launched last year, is generating much interest in its second series which includes a unique stabilising absorbent for concentrated acids ("Hegacid"), an emergency sealant for leaking drums, tanks and pipes ("Hegseal"), a bacterial de- blocking liquid to facilitate maintenance of kitchen grease traps ("Hegtrap"), and new types of absorbent booms, pillows, pads and rolls to deal with oil spills on water, concrete or on land.
The new products were first shown at the Plant Engineering and Maintenance Shows in Birmingham and Manchester, provoking many positive enquiries from people in companies in a variety of different sectors. At the same time, OCBP was able to explain its "Clean Works, Better Business" Partnerships in which customers and OCBP work together to produce a healthier and safer workplace and to protect the environment by cutting pollution.
Richard Genochio, Managing Director of OCBP Ltd., asked about the significance of the new "Heg" products, said: "These innovative products are based on the philosophy of high performance but low resource input. They are consistent with the aim of sustainable development and the greening of the supply chain. They build on the success of the first series, and fill gaps in the help we were able to offer to industry. 1) OCBP's new products include Hegacid (special absorbent, stabiliser and part-neutraliser of concentrated acids); Hegseal (emergency sealant to stop oil or chemicals leaking from punctured drums, tanks and pipework); Hegtrap (specialist bacterial liquid for de-blocking and de-odourising grease traps and drains); Hegboost (bacterial liquid for the enhanced bioremediation of contaminated land); emergency spill kits and a new types of absorbent booms, socks and pads.2) The "Heg" products in the first series include: Hegol (natural oil-degrading bacteria in a biodegradable surfactants, used for oil-stained workshop floors, vehicle washing, oily machinery, and pipework); Hegsolv (natural oil-degrading bacteria in biodegradable quick-splitting surfactants with rust inhibitor, used for heavy duty cleansing, parts washing and degreasing); Hegrem (oil- encapsulating absorbent made from biodegradable plant fibres with oil-degrading bacteria, used for bioremediation of contaminated land); Hegfloor (low dust, non-abrasive non-leaching biodegradable plant-based absorbent, used for oil spills on land or concrete as a cheaper and better alternative to granular clay, sawdust and polypropylene); and Hegsorb (biodegradable absorbent for spills on water and for filtration/separation of oil/water effluents).
