The Hegfloor Ecocycle System gives maximum efficiency and ease
of use of the unique biodegradable oil absorbent, Hegfloor.
It is a self-contained system, minimising contact with oily waste,
so that used unsaturated Hegfloor is not wasted but used again
until saturated, and reducing waste for disposal.
It consists of a wheeled 240 litre storage bin, with a hopper
taking up to three bags (43 kg) of Hegfloor. The unit is moved
to the point of spill, Hegfloor is applied to the spill and
the used Hegfloor immediately swept up using the anti-spark
shovel and broom attached. The used material is placed in a
sieve, which is moved from side to side. Unused Hegfloor falls
through the sieve back into the hopper so that it may be used
again. Saturated Hegfloor is caught in the sieve which is flipped
over so that the saturated material is deposited in a plastic
disposal bag attached to clips inside the unit.
When full, the bag is removed and the contents sent for proper
disposal as oily waste. If on-site composting is required, the
waste material is kept in the composting compartment within the
unit, which is specially aerated to allow biodegradation (stimulated
by Hegrem) to occur.
