BACTERIAL GREASE-TRAP AND DRAIN CLEANER
|
Fewer grease trap pump-outs |
Saves operating costs |
Degrades solidified fats etc. |
Cuts out sewer odours |
Safe to use |
Permanent removal of fat |
Biodegradation of animal wastes |
No damaging toxic effect |
Hegtrap contains biodegradable surfactants & a unique and synergistic
blend of harmless naturally occurring bacteria which digest kitchen
fats and greases, starches, cellulose and human and animal wastes.
The bacteria are dormant until added at the time of use to the Hegtrap
liquid solution. This re-hydrates the bacteria and also breaks down
the fats and greases etc. to make them more easily accessible to the
bacteria so that they may more quickly break them down into harmless
by-products. Alternative harsh chemicals such as bleach kill fat-degrading
bacteria already in place, form a toxic effluent and merely dissolve
grease temporarily so that it is re-deposited further on in the system.
Hegtrap is harmless and brings about permanent removal and final degradation
of solidified fats and greases.
BENEFITS
- Powerful, harmless, permanent removal of solidified fats
- Non-toxic, so no problems with foul drain discharges
- Biodegrades dissolved solidified fats etc. rather than moving
them from one point to another
- Reduced frequency of costly and unpleasant grease trap pump-out
- Prevents drain line blockage
- Major saving in costs and staff time; improved public hygiene
- Easy and safe to use; no cumbersome precautions necessary
- Unlike non-reproducing enzyme products, Hegtrap's bacteria double
in number every 20 minutes.
- Eliminates drain and sewer odours
APPLICATIONS
Hotel and restaurant grease traps and lavatory drains
Restaurants, offices, kitchens, catering and residential institutions
Household drains and lavatories
Manufacturing and processing industries with cellulosic or
starchy residues
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
NOTES:
1) For grease traps, add 4 parts water to 1 part Hegtrap. The powdered
bacterial bran under the cap is enough for the whole canister. Add
a proportionate amount of bran to the diluted liquid. Let stand
for 1/2 hour while bacteria hydrate.
2) The bacteria will die if they come into contact with bleach
or any chemical with a pH over 11 or less than 4.
3) The bacteria will not function if the temperature in the grease
trap exceeds 50°C.
- TO UNBLOCK:
-
1) Pump out the grease trap.
2) Apply 4 - 8 litres of diluted Hegtrap directly into the grease
trap.
3) Also spray the sides of the trap to clean walls and build a
strong colony of bacteria for prevention of re-blockage.
4) Refill the trap with water.
- FOR CONTINUING MAINTENANCE and PREVENTION:
- Add 4 - 8 litres of Hegtrap directly to the grease trap every
four weeks. (Or, for a 500 L. grease trap, use a dosing pump to
release 30 cc Hegtrap every 6 hrs.)
- GREASY KITCHEN FLOORS, VENTILATOR HOODS and FILTERS:
- Initially dilute Hegtrap 1:1 with warm water; thereafter dilute
up to 1:8, and use routinely every other day or as needed.
- DRAINS and SEWERS:
- Either pour mixed Hegtrap into the W.C. and then flush, or pour
the Hegtrap directly into the drains.
- LAVATORIES:
- Pour Hegtrap into the bowl, and spray around and under rims to
eliminate odours.
