OIL SPILL RESPONSE KITS
Tough, weatherproof, visible
Modest investment in OCBP's spill kits, carried on board vehicles or placed at strategic points around factories, workshops and fuel or vehicle depots, can stop a spill becoming a costly & dangerous disaster. The tough all-weather bags contain these well-known absorbents in the "Heg" range:
HEGFLOOR: Loose biodegradable plant-based absorbent for removing hydrocarbon & vegetable oils, and other organic chemicals from roads, factory & warehouse floors and hard standing. Leaves a non-slip surface - vital in the case of oil spilled in road accidents. Oil once absorbed cannot leach out, or threaten surface water. Used Hegfloor can be incinerated, composted or disposed of as oily waste.
HEGACID: Absorbent, stabiliser and part-neutraliser of spilled concentrated acids
HEGSORB: Outstandingly hydrophobic/oleophilic absorbent in booms, socks and pillows, used under or around a leak, for spills on water or to stop spills reaching drains or water.
HEGPAD: An absorbent pad to place over drains, or under the source of a leak
HEGSEAL: Pliable and adhesive clay, placed over a rupture in a drum, tank, pipe or leaking vehicle. Provides an immediate temporary seal (up to 24 hrs.) while removal or repair is effected. Sticks even to oily and rusty surfaces.
For larger orders, different & customised Spill Kits can be provided, with the user's company name and logo.
