Contaminated
land & sludges
Hegrem and the different products in the Hegboost series are designed
for simple, "low-tech" on-site bioremediation of soil and sludges
contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons and other organic chemicals including
chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Bioremediation of
contaminated land
Hegrem
mixed into the contaminated soil brings about absorption, bioaugmentation
& biostimulation
Contaminants
are absorbed and encapsulated in the fibres - thus immobilising
the absorbed oil. Safe oil-degrading bacteria in Hegrem feed on
and break down the contaminants. The addition of Hegrem also stimulates
bacteria already in the soil
Free-flowing
absorbent fibres made from recycled agricultural waste
Minimum
application of 1.3 bags per cubic metre of contaminated soil. Available
in 13.6 kg bags; 70 bags per pallet
Hegboost.cl
is a mixture of oil-degrading bacteria added at the time of use
to a blend of biodegradable surfactants and bacterial nutrients.
Not always necessary, it is used at the end of treatment by Hegrem
to boost the final stages

Hegboost.hc
adn Hegbooost.ch are available as highly concentrated bacterial
cultures in a small amount of liquid medium. This is enough to prepare
300 litres of usable product.
Hegboost.hc
is for the bioremediation of petroleum sludges or land contaminated
by petroleum hydrocarbons.
Hegboost.ch
is for the remediation of land or sludges contaminated by chlorinated
hydrocarbons. Both may be used instead of, with or after Hegrem.
Greases,
fats, and other specific wastes

With release
of bacteria into grease traps, solidified grease is biodegraded,
rather than merely deposited further downstream
Regular
dosing saves costly and unpleasant intervention in grease traps
Avoids
use of harsh chemicals
OCBP will also be offering specific bacterial cultures for other particular
types of process waste. These will be in the form of concentrated liquid
cultures, tablets (Hegtab) and slow-release wax cubes (Hegblock) for
effluent streams.
